Top Gear Toyota Hilux
After doing everything they could to destroy the Toyota Hilux, Top Gear are going to have another bash with the latest Hilux. But what’s planned? The current series of Top Gear may have ended, but TG still has games to play, readers to tempt and bills to pay, so they’re planning on giving the Toyota Hilux another Top Gear seeing-to to see how far they can push it.

Subaru is preparing a rebadged Daihatsu Sirion to slot beneath the Impreza in its range - and the new 'mini could be on sale as early as the end of this year. Toyota, Daihatsu's parent company, bought a 9% shareholding in Subaru's parent company in 2005. So the Daihatsu Sirion 1.0 is an obvious donor car; its £7500 starting price and 57mpg stretch the Subaru range down to a whole new budget marketplace.

Who’d have thought a little gathering in Austria could give birth to three stunning concept cars. This is VW's new Scirocco GT24 concept and it's appearing at the Wörthersee Tour alongside the Audi TT and A3 Clubsport Quattros. The Volkswagen Scirocco GT24 concept is a road version of the trio of racecars (pictured bottom far right) that will compete in this weekend’s Nürburgring 24-hour race.
